The MPI MidAmerica Conference is a month away and the deadline for early registration is fast approaching. Friday, February 17 is the cut off for early registration and hotel reservations.

Debbie Ables, DebbieDoesStuff
 Debbie Ables has been a member of KBCMPI since 1996. After moving to Bardstown, KY, she became Director of Conventions & Meetings for the Bardstown Nelson County Tourist & Convention Commission and was encouraged to join KBCMPI by local members: Michele Bowling & Karen Andreassen. She immediately volunteered to sell advertising in the Bluegrass Beat newsletter, has served as Co-Chair of Membership with Lisa Windhorst, was asked to serve as President Elect by Joyce Howlett and became President of KBCMPI 2001-2002 when the chapter won its 2nd time Chapter of the Year honors. In 2003 she opened www.debbiedoesstuff.com, a graphic design/advertising and independent meeting planning business. She is a founding member of The Hive, a network of meeting resource professionals. Currently, she is also publisher of central Kentucky’s Simply Put Newspaper, a free community weekly which promotes buying locally within Bullitt, Nelson, Washington & Marion Counties. She and her husband Ken are happy to announce their son Paul has graduated from Bellarmine and landed a job with Ft Knox Federal and no longer on their payroll…WOO HOO!

Catherine Clements, Marriott International
 Catherine Clements has been a member of the KBCMPI Chapter since 2005. After graduating from Bellarmine University with a BA in Business Administration she joined GE Appliances as a Merchandising Specialist. Catherine joined the Hyatt Regency Lexington Sales and Catering Team in 2002 where she served as the Senior Sales Manager, handling both the corporate & individual travel market for the hotel. Currently, she is a business development field manager for Marriott International. Catherine is the youngest of seven siblings and enjoys spending time with her husband Joe, and three children.
