The Kentucky Tourism Council has an immediate opening for a President and CEO to lead this statewide membership-based association for travel-related businesses. Based in Frankfort, KY, this position will develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to raise awareness of the state's tourism industry; advocate for members to affect positive change in important legislative and governmental issues and ensure the industry gets its fair share of Kentucky's $9.1 billion travel and tourism revenue; provide conferences and educational forums for membership featuring nationally and regionally respected speakers, and implement member benefit programs and services to develop and increase the membership base. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Tourism and Recreation, Hospitality Administration, etc., 7 or more years of related experience and have demonstrated experience as an organizational spokesperson with government agen! cies, media, community, service organizations and other influential groups.
