When I was about eight years old, I remember that I used to enjoy taking my father’s Dynaco stereo system and speakers and unplugging everything, relocating the entire system to another room in the house, and hooking it all back up again. I could actually fill a whole day doing this. Once the sweet sounds of music were radiating from the mess of electronics, I would relax and listen to a few songs before unplugging everything again and starting over. Looking back at this, it really comes as no surprise to me that later in life I would have a career in the Audiovisual Industry.
Once that stereo system saw its last functioning day, (it definitely didn’t die from loneliness) I began to turn my attention toward music, specifically playing the guitar. I was a dedicated guitar student and after several months of formal lessons I bought my own Oscar Schmidtt acoustic guitar for one hundred dollars. I sought out anybody who wanted to play music in their backyard or anybody who was willing to jam on the busy street as people walked by. I was in my share of different bands, some more serious than others, and I organized at least one show that I would consider “epic.”.
